USAGE Residential project
STATUS 2020 – under construction
LOCATION Chambly, Québec, Canada
Located along the Chambly Canal, facing Lock Number 7, Lumicité sur les écluses is a premium residential project where contemporary architecture, history, and nature converge to create a unique living environment near Chambly’s historic district. Developed on a rehabilitated urban brownfield, the project highlights the canal’s charm and its natural surroundings with carefully designed landscaping, thoughtful water integration, and breathtaking views. The project unfolds in three distinct phases. Currently under construction, the first phase features a six-story building offering 50 rental units, including two- and three-bedroom apartments. A canal-side commercial space will bring vibrancy to the promenades and enrich local life. Inside, a bright, welcoming lobby with lounge areas and a community room has been designed to foster connections and create a true sense of community. A façade-integrated signage pays tribute to the nearby lock, establishing a link between contemporary architecture and the site’s heritage. The next two phases will each feature two additional six-story buildings, connected by a shared underground level, for a total of 78 units per phase. This continuation ensures a harmonious balance between residential density, refined design, and respect for the natural surroundings.
