A nod to the wedding dress boutiques on St-Hubert street, the project is inspired by these unusual shops. Monochrome, the facades echo the superimposition of fabrics. Folds, superimpositions, shifts, fluidity and movement form the language of the proposed architecture, while a variety of white and silver materials is combined with finesse to communicate both commercial and residential functions. On St-Hubert, the cladding takes advantage of the modular nature of brick to suggest a facade in movement. More discreet, the facade on Saint-André superimposes brick and metal cladding, blending in with the street’s residential character through the verticality of its lines.
