Place Wellington is an ephemeral public space based on the ‘Design Thinking’ approach, where the human element is at the heart of the process, generating a proposal based on the user’s experience. Located on Wellington between Galt and “De l’Église” streets, the project responds to public demand for a space where people can gather and meet. It also responds to a desire on the part of individuals to be closer to their fellow citizens, their businesses and the things that make up the life of this lively neighbourhood. Rather than returning to the theme of the beach, we tackled the question of the riverbanks, and worked with nature and vegetation.
