Imbued with rusticity, the residence reinterprets Quebec’s vernacular and agricultural landscape in its own way, and is set in it as it once was. From a distance, the multiplicity of the project’s volumes, combined with the vernacular form of the wooden construction with its openings and corrugated metal roof, recall the traditional farmhouse. The project offers bright, open and comfortable spaces, where details inspired by artisanal techniques are judiciously balanced and integrated into a resolutely contemporary architectural design.
