This typically northern tree is a pioneering species and an essential material in Native American culture. Beyond the birch\u2019s recognizable hues, the theme inspired the team\u2019s idea of light and dark and linearity. The formalization of the project revolved around the idea of a protective, robust bark protecting a tender, warm heart.
